  • A wealth of career development tools and exchange formats for early career researchers and researcher developers has so far been created within the EURAXESS network and more are to come…

Most of them are developed within EU-funded projects by representatives of the so-called Bridgehead Organisations, like EURAXESS Luxembourg, i.e. entities coordinating the EURAXESS national networks in Europe and surrounding countries. Also experts within member organisations of national networks (research centres, higher education institutions, associations supporting researcher career development public institutions linked to research and innovation…) can contribute to the development and dissemination of resources.

In the Career Development section of the European Commission’s EURAXESS portal you will find some of these tools grouped by target audiences (researchers / research performing organisations).

In the box below the EURAXESS tools/platforms are grouped thematically. The LUX SELECTION section lists also additional resources for early-career researchers not created within our network.

    • EURAXESS Hubs are five cross-border collaboration entities composed by network members and stakeholders outside the network around a specific topic of relevance for researcher careers. During the last Horizon-funded EURAXESS projects the hubs were the modus operandi to carry out our activities. Project outcomes like online toolkits, webinar recordings and testimonials are now available on the digital thematic platforms of the hubs. Feel free to browse through the free resources!

    • The EURAXESS Communities of Practice (CoPs) are collaborative spaces where EURAXESS members and external professionals work together to create knowledge and develop innovative solutions related to research careers, mobility, and other relevant topics. They were created to strengthen the connection and improve the collaboration between EURAXESS Centres.

Six CoPs are currently run by EURAXESS colleagues :

      1. Cooperation with stakeholders outside academia/industry for intersectoral mobility, including scientific startup entrepreneurship
      2. Diversity, inclusion and gender issues
      3. Recruitment services towards a career in the academic and non-academic public sector
      4. Social integration and dual careers
      5. Supporting mobility and procedures, including entry conditions, social security, and taxation
      6. Talent circulation, including cooperation with EURAXESS Worldwide

and organise regular webinars related to their focus topics. These events are also open to the broader public. None of the CoPs has a website of its own. You can find more information related to the subtopics they cover and whom to contact to join on the EURAXESS Communities of Practice webpage
